Transitional Housing and Independent Living Program (T.H.I.L.)

Bridging The Gap THIL program is a 12-to-24-month program that is geared towards young adults between the ages of 18-24 who have aged out of the Foster Care System. Our program provide individuals with the support and resources needed to transition to stable housing. The program aims to bridge the gap between emergency shelter services and permanent housing solutions, offering a structured environment where participants can rebuild their lives and regain independence.

Objectives:

Housing Stability: We provide temporary housing accommodation for individuals who are on the verge of experiencing homelessness, offering a safe and supportive environment conducive to personal growth and stability.

Supportive Services: We offer comprehensive support services including case management, counseling, life skills training, and access to healthcare resources to address the underlying causes of homelessness and promote self-sufficiency.

Community Integration: We facilitate community engagement and social integration through partnerships with local organizations, volunteer opportunities, and educational workshops to empower participants and foster a sense of belonging.

Transition to Permanent Housing: We develop individualized transition plans for participants, connecting them with permanent housing options, employment opportunities, and other resources to ensure a successful transition out of the program.

Health Outcomes: By offering stable housing, individuals are more likely to address their own health care needs and receive early health care interventions.
